Combatting Extremism

Presenter: Diana Lachiondo, Western States Center

Your organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In that vein, you've created a variety of programming that appeals to all members of your community. Unfortunately, in today's highly politicized environment, that could make your organization a target of extremist picketing, etc. How can you live out your organizations' values while protecting your staff, clients, and reputation? We'll work through this together and hopefully come out with concrete actions you can take for your organization.

Cultural Compass: Uncovering the Heart of Belonging

Presenter: Salome Mwangi

A cross-cultural training that taps into the secret sauce that ties the elements of DEI into a pragmatic way to create a culture of Belonging. This is done by identifying one’s individual lens of navigating and experiencing life and learning more about the different lenses that others may use to navigate theirs. This supports participants grow their emotional intelligence muscle and while expanding the cultural intelligence one.
