Presenter

Director of Grant Development, Jannus, INC. Diane Demarest

Diane is a dedicated professional with in-depth knowledge of organizational systems, social service program design and evaluation, and grant proposal development. In her current position, Ms. Demarest, develops private and public grant proposals for twenty unique programs at Jannus, a 46-year-old health and human service nonprofit in Boise, Idaho. She works collaboratively with program directors to design and develop proposals that range from mental health to agriculture, early learning to senior advocacy, and refugee services to entrepreneurial initiatives. As a full-time grant writer, Diane works with diverse teams of professionals and many community partners to create large joint proposals. Jannus’ $15 million-dollar budget is comprised of over 80% public and private grants. Diane has spent over 40 years working in diverse public and private industries including health care, k-12 education, professional membership organizations, nonprofit social service, government and higher education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in family systems from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from the University of Idaho. She currently serves as president of the Idaho Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) and regional advisor to the National GPA Executive Director. She has served as editor for a national children’s health publication and published several journal articles related to her work with families.
